For all the lovers of weird and whacky..... and slightly grotesque.
A Swiss man has sold his elaborate Virgin Mary tattoo created by Belgian artist Wim Delvoye . The transaction which is a first of its kind fetched 150,000 euro, with the other main stipulation being that the 35-hour work can be removed from the bearer's skin upon death and handed to its owner.
My only question is - I'm guessing the skin will be wrinkly right... so who is the poor bastard that gets the 'ironing duties' at this art gallery??
The tattoo will go on show for the first time next week in Singapore and Shanghai.
